Blast Proofing
Blast proofing of buildings in our metropolitan areas has become a requirement in the post 9/11 world we now live in. Retrofitting existing buildings to withstand car bombs, or other types of terrorist attacks is now underway in the Washington DC and New York markets and will soon be required in most national and local government buildings. Embassies, and other tenants with international ties who are considered targets of these vicious attacks will also insist upon this new counter terrorist strengthening of their structures.
Lindman will help General Contractors, Engineers and Building Owners with the design and installation of blast resistant composite materials, including carbon fiber, fiberglass and the newer fiber/steel composites. We provide a turn key design/build team that will work to develop the appropriate system for the resistance criteria, provide PE stamped shop drawings, and install the system in operating facilities.
Lindman can answer questions about any blast proofing application, and we have developed a design/build team to take the project from inception to completion in a timely manner, with no disclosure to the public of the project. Avoid RFP's or other public disclosures, because secrecy is a major component of any anti-terrorist defense system.
